SONY Europe – are you looking for a taste of tomorrow?
From putting music on the move to bringing high definition home, our electronics have been changing the way we live for decades. And it continues to this day. In this ever-evolving world SONY is creating pioneering technology that’s changing everything from the way we experience sports broadcasting to helping doctors carry out complicated procedures more accurately within both our consumer electronics business and our professional services. But we don’t do it to be the first or conquer new ground. We do it to inspire. To create those special moments that make people say ‘wow’.
So if you’re looking for a taste of tomorrow, and what it’s like to be part of a diverse, innovation-led and global company, come and join us, Global Information System Shared Service (GIS) as a part of Tekniksprånget. An indispensable enabler for the fulfillment of Sony’s mission is an efficient and future oriented IT organization supporting the different business functions within Sony with IT solutions utilizing technologies that are at the forefront.
GIS is the global IT organization providing IT services to the Sony Group worldwide. In total more than 3100 people are working within this organization, roughly 300 in Europe. The sites where we have our major presence are in Lund and in Basingstoke, UK. The part of GIS located in Europe is currently mainly supporting Sony Europe and Sony Mobile Communications globally. Services provided are management and ownership of systems and solutions related to consumer interaction, business processes, R&D, supply chain management and production.
You will be working in the GIS organization within some different areas related to applications and infrastructure. You will get the opportunity to work in a truly global organization, understanding what that means from an IT point when supporting all business functions around the globe. You will be challenged with hands-on everyday tasks and we would of course also look forward to getting input from you in some different technical and functional areas
