Internship in research & development
In research and development, or R&D, you work with future technology and innovations. Your job is to develop, test and refine new ideas before they reach the public.
Laboratory work
Sampling, product testing and testing. Develop new materials, sample pulp in the manufacturing process or conduct a water analysis and then compile the results. The intern has from the start worked in the measurement technology department as a new employee, which among other things means helping with different types of measurements, both in the lab and in the field. Perform material tests in the production process, e.g. to test the surface strength of a material. Testing different liquids in the production process, Every day a number of tests are carried out to be analyzed to ensure the quality of the content.
Collect and structure data
Work with data in larger research projects. Collect data for reports and process results in databases. For example, work with inventory and mapping of the heavy metal cadmium and the climate-hazardous gas SF6.
Analysis
Analyze production, development, marketing, sales and use of products from various perspectives such as sustainability, safety and/or economy.
Quality control
Follow how a product is developed and optimized. Look at previously collected data for the product, review deviation reports for this to be able to draw conclusions on how the product can be optimized going forward. Map different instruments and laboratory accessories (pipettes, scales). Enter this data into an excel document and group the different products into subject areas (by reading up on how they are related to each other).
Innovation projects
Participate in general focus groups and, for example, discuss where the employer needs to be in five years and what it means in terms of development and renewal. Discuss "if we were not to deal with our core business today, what could we do then"?
