Tasks in energy
Energy is a vital area for the whole world. As an engineer in energy, you are in the middle of development and are involved in solving problems that really make a difference.
Examples of tasks in energy:
Plan and assist in the implementation of commercials about the company's operations.
Map the area where new homes will be built and calculate the area's future energy needs.
Work on production facilities for district heating and bio-combined heat and power plants, both existing and also those that are currently being built.
Work with electricity grids, electric power and IT distribution.
Work with documentation engineers and update drawings from real production facility to drawings to the computer system. During internships, meetings with the energy company's IT engineers have also been included, to show how the employer's various facilities communicate with each other.
Investigate whether wind power in the municipality has been developed in accordance with the current comprehensive plan. Analyze and match against the real outcome. Connect solar cell systems on the supplier's website so that the public can follow the production.
Investigate how to make the turbine more efficient at combined heat and power plants that produce the employer's electricity and district heating.
Do an in-depth work on the subject of biogas and why the employer has chosen to invest in biogas-powered vehicles.
Visit all departments of the workplace with presentations from the department heads and visits in the field.
Investigate and give concrete suggestions on how the employer can become more environmentally friendly in practice.
Create/manage easement agreements for district heating pipes, solder capacitors in circuit boards and write reports, including on the company's environmentally smart houses.
