School & SYV
Do your students know what to do after high school? We like to make school visits and tell them about what it's like out in the workplaces and what it means to be a technology leaper.
What is Tekniksprånget?
It's hard to know what to do after high school; The choices are so incredibly many. An exciting alternative that we would like to recommend is Tekniksprånget – a program that gives young people the chance to try out the engineering profession through internships at some of Sweden's most innovative companies
If you are not familiar with Tekniksprånget, we are an internship program that offers four months of paid internship for young people between the ages of 18 and 21. The programme is open to those who have completed the science, technology or economics programme at upper secondary school. The internship gives students the opportunity to gain a practical insight into the engineering profession and apply their theoretical knowledge in real-world projects.
Technology is for everyone
There are many prejudices about engineers and technical education. The most common is that it is difficult, the math is too tough and that it is mostly boys who choose these professions and educations.
Surveys conducted by the Youth Barometer for Teknikföretagen show that many young people are even advised against technical upper secondary education by adults in their vicinity – even though they are curious about these educations. We can't have it like that!
Being an engineer is solving problems, and problems are best solved together. It is also an incredibly creative profession where all perspectives are needed.
Young people inspire each other
The school is one of the channels where most people get to know the possibilities of Tekniksprånget. Many of our technology leapers visit their old school and give a short lecture about the practice, something that is usually very appreciated. If you want us to find a suitable lecturer for your school, you can register it via the form below.
We also offer printed matter you can put up or hand out at the school. The material can be found here.
